Apollo Group TV M3U Playlist and EPG: Set Up the TV Guide

Last updated

Your Apollo Group Television M3U playlist is a single web address that lists every channel on your line, and the EPG is the programme schedule that fills your player's TV guide. Both arrive in the activation message we send after you order, and neither is published anywhere because each one has your own username and password built into it. Plenty of customers never touch either: sign in with Xtream Codes in IPTV Smarters or TiviMate and the 21,000+ channels and the guide load together. This page is for when your player will only take a playlist, or when the guide is empty or running at the wrong times. It covers lines bought on apollogrouptelevision.us.

Plans from $24.99, or $13.33/month on the yearly plan.

01M3U or Xtream Codes: which should you use?

Either one connects a player to the same line, but they don't hand over the same amount of information:

Xtream Codes loginM3U playlist
What you enterServer address, username, passwordOne long web address
Live channelsYesYes
Movies and seriesYes, in their own menusOften missing or mixed into channels
TV guide (EPG)Usually loads by itselfOften needs a separate EPG address
Best forIPTV Smarters, TiviMate, most phone and TV appsVLC, Kodi, Roku players, smart-TV apps that only take a link

If your app offers Xtream Codes, which some label 'Xtream API' or 'Login with username', pick that. Keep the playlist for apps that can't take a login at all. The player app guide shows which app suits each device.

02Where your M3U and EPG addresses come from

The activation message we send on WhatsApp once your order is paid has everything in it: username, password, server address and the M3U playlist address made from them. Some players also want a separate EPG (XMLTV) address. If yours does and it isn't in the message, ask and we'll send it over.

Keep your playlist address out of public forums, group chats and 'free M3U' websites. Anyone who has it can stream on your connections, and you may find yourself locked out with a 'max connections reached' error.

If the message has gone missing, try searching WhatsApp for your username, or ask through the contact page for it to be resent. We'll only send it to the number that placed the order.

04Fixing a blank, partial or wrong-time guide

When the guide says 'No information' or shows the wrong programme, one of these four things is nearly always behind it. Start at the top:

  • The schedule is still downloading. It's a large file and the first download can take a couple of minutes on a Firestick, so leave the app open and then update the EPG once.
  • The time zone or offset is off. If the guide is a few hours early or late, set the EPG time shift (TiviMate: Settings → EPG → EPG time shift) and check the device's own time zone in its system settings.
  • A few channels have no schedule data. Event feeds and some international channels come without listings, which is normal and doesn't stop them playing.
  • The app is holding on to old data. Clear its cache (on Android and Firestick that's Settings → Applications → the app → Clear cache), reopen it and update the EPG.

If channels play but the guide stays empty across the board, send the player name and a screenshot to support@apollogrouptelevision.us or on WhatsApp. Channels that won't load at all point to a playback problem instead, and the streaming troubleshooter is the place to start.

05Keeping your playlist working after you renew

A renewal extends the line you already have. We can't promise ahead of time whether your login details will stay the same; the renewal message confirms it either way. If they do change, update the playlist and EPG addresses in every player, since both are made from your username and password. The renewal guide covers the rest.

Questions and answers

M3U and EPG questions

Where can I find the Apollo Group TV M3U link?

It's in the activation message we send on WhatsApp after you order. Because it's built from your own login there's no public M3U link, so be wary of any website offering one.

Do I need a separate EPG link?

Most players load the guide automatically when you sign in with Xtream Codes. Players that only accept an M3U playlist may need an EPG (XMLTV) address, so ask us if it isn't in your message.

Why is my TV guide a few hours off?

That's the device's time zone or the player's EPG time shift. Correct the time zone first, then nudge the time shift in the player until the programme on screen matches the guide.

Why do some channels show no guide at all?

Event feeds and some international channels don't come with listings, though they play normally.

Can I use the same M3U playlist on several devices?

You can, with each device streaming at the same moment using one connection. Read how connections are counted before sharing a login around the house.
