Installing Apollo Group TV on TiviMate
Last updated
TiviMate does one thing and does it well: it makes live TV feel like a cable box. You get a scrolling channel grid, a mini guide over the picture, and favourites you only have to set up once. It runs on Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV, but not on phones or Apple devices. On Google TV you install it from the Play Store like anything else, while on a Firestick you sideload it with Downloader. Whichever you have, your Apollo Group TV line goes in as an Xtream Codes playlist and the guide comes with it.
Plans from $24.99, or $13.33/month on the yearly plan.

Install TiviMate
The route depends on your device.
- Android TV or Google TV: Google Play → 'TiviMate IPTV Player'
- Fire TV: allow Downloader to install unknown apps, then install TiviMate through it (the Firestick setup shows that permission screen)
Add your playlist as Xtream Codes
Open TiviMate → Add playlist → Xtream Codes. M3U also works, but you'd lose the separate menus for films and series.
Enter the three details
Server address, then username, then password. Press Next, and TiviMate tests the connection and tells you how many channels it found.
The username, password and server address all come from the WhatsApp message we send after your order goes through. Keep that message to yourself: anyone who has those details can use one of your plan's connections.
Name it and finish
Call the playlist 'Apollo' or whatever you like, press Done, and let the guide finish loading before you start browsing.
Make the grid yours
In Settings → Playlists → Manage groups, hide the countries and categories you never watch. Long-press any channel to add it to Favourites, which then appears as its own group at the top.
