Is Apollo Group TV Legit? How to Check a Seller Before You Pay
Last updated
Lots of websites sell under the "Apollo Group TV" name, so whether it's legit comes down to the particular seller in front of you. Some resell working lines and reply to their customers. Others take the money and vanish, or ask for your login details and keep them. Reviewing ourselves wouldn't tell you much, so this page gives you a checklist you can use on any Apollo-named seller, including us, and then sets out who Apollo Group Television is and what we don't claim. It covers subscriptions bought on apollogrouptelevision.us only.
Plans from $24.99, or $13.33/month on the yearly plan.
See pricesWhy the answer depends on the seller
If you search the name on Bing or Google, most of the first page is different domains with almost the same name, and several of them call themselves the official site, which can't be true of all of them. Some share the same back-end line, some sell a different service under a borrowed name, and a few seem to exist only to collect payments or passwords.
That means a review of "Apollo Group TV" written about one site says very little about the shop you're looking at. You learn more from how that shop takes payment, what information it asks for, and whether a person answers before and after you pay.
Seven checks to run before you pay anyone
Find out who you're paying
Look for a contact email on the seller's own domain, a phone or WhatsApp number and written terms. Be wary of a site that offers a checkout button but no way to ask a question first.
Message them before ordering
Ask something simple, like whether your TV model is supported. The way they reply (or don't) gives you a fair idea of what help will look like after you've paid.
Read the refund terms
A seller who trusts the service will put in writing when you can get your money back. Specific, limited terms are worth more than a vague "satisfaction guaranteed" with no conditions attached.
Understand what each payment method protects
Each way of paying leaves you with different options if something goes wrong, as the table below shows.
Never hand over a password
A real seller has no use for your email password, your bank login or the login from another IPTV provider. Line details travel one way: from the seller to you.
Check where you'll sign in
Line details go into a player app on your device. When a website asks you to log in on a web page to watch, or to "activate" your account by typing a password, it's behaving like a phishing site.
Start small
Buy the shortest plan first and test it on the screens you'll be watching on. Moving to a longer plan later is easy.
How payment methods compare
| Payment method | What to know | If something goes wrong |
|---|---|---|
| Cash App (US) | Pays from the bank card linked to your Cash App account | Contact the seller first; Cash App's own terms decide any dispute |
| Shakepay (Canada) | Funded from your Canadian bank account | Contact the seller first; transfers are hard to reverse |
| Bitcoin | Works from any wallet, anywhere | Cannot be reversed by a bank, so only the seller can refund it |
| Card typed into an unknown site | Not something we accept | Your card details are now with a site you can't verify |
We take Cash App, Shakepay and Bitcoin, and we never ask for card numbers on this website or in chat. None of these can be reversed as easily as a card payment, which makes the seller's refund terms more important. Ours are on the refund policy page, and the plans page walks through each payment method.
Red flags
- A site claims to be the only official Apollo Group TV while others say the same thing.
- There's a username and password box on the website itself.
- Someone sends you a Downloader code or app file you didn't ask for, in a comment, forum post or direct message.
- Support contacts you first, or asks for your password, a one-time code or remote access to your device.
- A "free trial" needs payment details, or your login from another provider.
- Prices change once you're in the chat, or you're pushed to pay in a hurry.
- Glowing reviews without dates or surnames, written in the same words you've seen on other sites.
If someone claiming to be our support team contacts you first, don't reply. Use the number and email on our contact page instead.
Who we are
Apollo Group Television is an independent seller of IPTV subscriptions for viewers in the US and Canada, at apollogrouptelevision.us. We're one of many websites using the Apollo name. We don't own the name and we don't speak for the other sites, and we can only see, support and refund subscriptions bought here.
- We don't call ourselves official, number one or the best.
- We don't publish star ratings or customer testimonials on this site.
- We don't offer a free trial. The free trial page explains the alternative.
- We don't promise uptime figures or round-the-clock support. Message whenever you like and we reply when someone is available.
- We don't have a login form on this website, and never will.
The things we do commit to are written down: prices in the pricing table, the 7-day refund window, our terms of service, and a website disclaimer covering what we can and can't be responsible for, including content and the rules where you live.
